If you haven’t already heard, the Scenic Rim’s biggest annual event Eat Local Week is coming up at the end of June! There are SO many events planned around the region from Tamborine to Aratula! If you are not sure where to start, here are our top picks all nearby Ketchup’s Bank Glamping (and they’re not booked out….yet!)
1. Tapas at Sunset, Kooroomba Vineyard, Sunday June 26, 4.30-8.30pm
Watch the sun go down over the Mount Alford peaks while enjoying tapas on the terrace. Then enjoy a four course dinner created by the award winning kitchen team lead by Daniel Groneberg showcasing the best that Scenic Rim has to offer! Amazing chef and amazing location!

2. Sunset Tales on the Deck, Scenic Rim Brewery, Saturday 25 June, 3pm
If you’re after something a little more low key but still want to suck up the wonderful local hospitality, then this is a goodie! Mike the brewer is a treasure trove of knowledge and tells a great story! Enjoy a Dutch inspired Tapas menu on the picturesque back deck and work your way through their brews while you are there.

3. City Chef Series, Blume Restaurant, 12.30 Lunch Tues June 28 – Fri 1 July
This one is a bit more pricey, but Blume has continued to receive nothing but outstanding reviews! They have designed a sensational eight course degustation that you won’t forget, with matched beverages! Intimate dining at its absolute finest!! And they are even offering transfers from Brisbane if you’ve missed the boat for accomodation.

4. Degustation Lunch on the Scenic Green, Boonah Golf Club, Sun June 26
If you haven’t already figured it out, incredible degustations feature a lot in Eat Local Week and this one is just down the hill from Ketchup’s Bank Glamping! Four courses paired with drinks and live music over looking the green. Bliss!

5. Art and Tastings Amongst the Camels, Summer Land, Thur 30 June, 12.30
This one sounds like loads of fun! Pick up a paintbrush and flex your artistic side at the beautiful Summer Land Camel Farm while sipping a drink and nibbling away on a charcuterie board full of Summerland specialties.

6. The Winter Harvest Festival, Saturday July 2nd, 10-4pm
Of course we can’t leave out the signature event and final celebration of Eat Local Week held at Aratula. This is a great day out and a rare opportunity to taste and take home all the wonderful Scenic Rim produce all in one place! Meet the producers and chefs and stay for the Tractor Pulling competition!
